Quite simply: two car sharing partners.
And with MILES we have a second car sharing partner after SIXT share, which you can use via hvv switch. Here, too, the principle is very simple, similar to SIXT share: you choose the MILES car of your choice in the car sharing tile, reserve it and open the reserved car via hvv switch app. Then all you have to do is get in and drive off. To end your trip, simply park in the Miles business area in Hamburg. You can then easily end the rental via the hvv switch app.
The use of a MILES car costs from only 0.89 euros per kilometer. In addition, a one-time fee of 1 Euro per rent is due. The special thing about MILES is that it is not billed by minutes, but by kilometers. Of course, this is a great advantage when road traffic is not progressing.
With hvv switch you can rent MILES cars at any time. And all this without having to create an account with MILES.
Prerequisite for use:
- You are at least 21 years old and have a valid category B driving licence (at least one year in possession and valid for at least 28 days).
- You have to activate your driver's license once in our app or in the hvv service point at Johanniswall 2 in 20095 Hamburg (opening hours: Mon-Fri 10:30 am – 6:00 pm, Sat and Sun closed).
- Of course, you need to provide detailed information about yourself, define a means of payment (currently only PayPal is possible) and accept our as well as the MILES terms and conditions and data protection regulations.
- In our hvv switch app you need to define a PIN.
Good to know: If you have already validated your driver's license for the use of SIXT share, you no longer have to do this for MILES.
City To City with MILES
MILES also has the "City-to-City" fare. This fare allows you to start a journey in business area A (e.g. Hamburg) and end it in business area B (e.g. Berlin). The "City-to-City fee" is then added to the original fare. You can find more information here at MILES.
