Anleger at the Alster

Some call it the most beautiful beach club, others the best SUP rental: Anleger Hamburg has many faces. And all of them are friendly.

When you think of the Alster, you quickly think of the Binnenalster and Außenalster. In fact, hardly anyone thinks of the fact that the Alster is only dammed here and is actually a 56-kilometre-long tributary of the Elbe. One of the best places to start exploring the river in Hamburg is the Anleger Hamburg in the Alsterdorf district.

North of the Outer Alster, this is an Eldorado for people who like to be on the water: You can rent canoes, pedal boats and SUP boards, and electric boats are also available. In fact, the jetty has a very old history: around 1908, this place was mentioned for the first time as a boat-building site, and initially there were four boatyards here. Over the decades, the place changed. First a canoe rental was started, and at some point a beer garden was added. Since spring 2015, Jan Biedler has been the owner - he expanded the concept to what it is today.
